SIBA's purpose is to foster an opportunity rich environment for its members and to help them find ways to improve their businesses and enhance the value of their enterprise. We do this in three main streams of activities —
1. Providing direct business supports
Business Practice Manual, Industral Relations, Business Practice Toolkits, Salary Surveys, Fee Complaints and other Customer Advice, Business Intelligence Feeds, Information Services, Weekly Tender Alert, Professional Indemnity Insurance, Liasion with Government Agencies, etc etc
2. Creating a better business environment
Addressing the Skills Resources Issues, Access to Public Sector Data, Input to Government Policy, Intellectual Property, Limitation of Liability, Input to Professional Registration and Accreditation, Positioning of the Industry, Networking and Collaboration, etc etc
3. Creating a future demand
Economic Studies, Promoting the Industry in new Areas like Water, Carbon Trading, Promoting the concept of Spatial Information as Infrastructure, National Elevation Data Framework, Identification of New Work Sources Generally, Industry Promotion Generally, etc etc
